Awards and Recognition

Due to Team DCA’s level of commitment to performance excellence, on June 21, 2017, DCA was recognized as the USDA APHIS “SDVOSB” Contractor of the Year at the agency level.

In further recognition of our commitment to the USDA, DCA was notified it was awarded the highest honor of being recipient of the 2017 USDA “overall” SDVOSB Contractor of the Year across all 29 agencies under the USDA umbrella.

The first in Office of Secretary of Defense ESGR’s series of awards is the Patriot Award.  An employee serving in the National Guard or Reserve, or the spouse of a Guard or Reserve member, may nominate individual supervisors and bosses for support provided directly to the nominating Service member and his or her family.  The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support Citizen Warriors through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families and granting leaves of absence if needed.

Patriot Awards are awarded to individual supervisors, not to an entire staff or organization as a whole.

Mr. Jon Snyder, President & CEO of Defense Contracting Activity (DCA), formerly Argus International Risk Services, was directly nominated and awarded the Patriot Employer Award by the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) due to a nomination from a Army National Guardsman who serves in the capacity of a Force Protection Officer/Watch Stander for one of DCA’s  federal customers.

“The award and recognition is an important testament to how we treat our Argus mission partners.  It has never been about me as the CEO, or any one in particular, it is more about a culture of caring and support that we try to nurture across all team members.  We wouldn’t be much if we didn’t follow our company wide philosophy of “One Team, One Fight!”  Even though I was directly given this tremendous honor, it actually goes out and is shared among our entire DCA team. I could not do the job without them!  They make me a better leader, and hopefully these efforts make them better mission partners,” stated Jon Snyder, president & CEO.
