‘Warriors 2 Work’ Foundation

Argus Warriors 2 Work Foundation_logoAbout Us

Warriors 2 Work foundation is a Florida registered Non-Profit corporation and 501(c)(3) pending IRS charity status organization created to assist veterans in the longest battle they will ever encounter – the Career battlefield.

Our Beginning…

During a 2014 speaking engagement to the Palm Beach State College chapter of the Student Veterans of America club, DCA’s Chief Executive, a Service-Disabled Veteran himself, realized there continued to be a desperate need to assist veterans in entering, or re-entering, the commercial career marketplace.

Inspired by the depth of courage and willingness and need to improve Warriors individual lives and self-worth, the “Warriors 2 Work” Foundation (aW2W) was born.

First Success Story!

Our first opportunity to assist a veteran with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) came about almost simultaneously with a recently discharged 14-year U.S. Army Veteran named “Brad.”  Honorably-discharged in September, 2014, Brad was a career military solider who was cast out of the service he expected to retire from due to the government mandate to downsize regular forces personnel.  Needing to secure work quickly, Brad and his spouse, with four school age children, set out to re-enter the domestic workforce.  Faced with the major financial challenges of limited disability income coupled with a large family to support, Brad struggled to identify employer(s) who would see past his PTSD. Experiencing overwhelming disappointment at every turn, Brad and his family were not sure what to do; until they met our leadership and learned about the newly formed W2W Foundation commitment to assisting Warriors’ and their families in need.

Fast forwarding several months later, aW2W not only was able to secure a position for Brad with a South Florida security company, but we also fitted the bill to pay for the State of Florida required licensing.  Through Brad’s willingness to learn and take charge with the military spirit and fortitude, his family is now self-sufficient again and he has regained his sense of confidence and purpose; HOOYAH!

W2W is proud to have been part of Brad’s story and is planning an outstanding 2015 and beyond to raise funds for employer awareness, job core training, and strategic hiring partnerships to bring back honor to those who have sacrificed so much for America.
